MANCHESTER — Soup kitchen patrons earlier this week sat down to a lunch of baked chicken with penne pasta and roasted vegetables, a popular dish at the local Maggie McFly’s.

A crew from the Buckland Hills Drive restaurant prepared and served the meal as part of a new Guest Chefs program at the Community Kitchen run by Manchester Area Conference of Churches Charities. MACC Executive Chef Ben Dubow said the effort is meant to strengthen bonds between the charity and area restaurants and to provide a mix of fare that many clients could not otherwise afford.
